Voxel Party is a site for playing and making browser games with friends. It's made and run by Oliver, an independent developer in Sweden ("we"). By using it you agree to these terms. They're short: please read them.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use Voxel Party, and old enough in your country to have a Discord account to sign in. If you're under 18, check these terms with a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

You don't need an account to play. To publish games, vote or report, you sign in with Discord. You're responsible for what happens with your account; tell us if you think someone else is using it.

3. Games and other things you upload

You keep the rights to the games you make. By uploading or publishing a game (and its title, description, tags and any other content in it), you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, run and show it on Voxel Party, to let anyone play it, to capture screenshots and video of it, and to show those pictures and clips on the site, in link previews, and when we promote Voxel Party (for example in videos and social media posts). The licence ends when the game is removed, except for copies in backups and caches for a short while, and promotional material already made.

You promise that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it follows the rules below. Don't upload other people's work (art, music, code, characters) unless its licence allows it.

4. The rules

Everything on Voxel Party is seen by players as young as 13. Games, titles, descriptions, tags and player names must not:

• be illegal, or encourage anything illegal or dangerous;
• contain sexual content or nudity;
• contain hate, harassment, bullying or threats against anyone, or against groups of people;
• contain realistic gore or extreme violence (cartoon game violence is fine);
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights, or impersonate someone;
• collect or reveal personal information about anyone, or try to trick players (scams, phishing, fake prizes);
• involve gambling for real money or anything of real value;
• contain malware, or try to break out of the game sandbox, attack the site or other players, or get around its limits;
• be spam, or try to fake plays, votes or reports.

Also: don't overload or disrupt the service, don't access it in ways it isn't meant to be used (for example scraping or automated accounts), and treat other players decently.

5. Moderation

Players can report games. A game reported by several people is hidden until a moderator looks at it. We may hide or remove any game or other content, and suspend or close any account, if we believe it breaks these terms or the law or could harm players or the site. We'll usually say why, but we don't have to review everything before it's published, and we can't catch everything: if you see something that shouldn't be here, please report it or email us.

6. Copyright and takedown requests

If you believe something on Voxel Party infringes your copyright or other rights, or is illegal, email copyright@voxelparty.io (or use the contact form) with:

• the link to the game or content;
• what work or right you believe is infringed, and why (or why the content is illegal);
• your name and contact details;
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, and that your notice is accurate.

We'll act quickly, usually by removing the content, and tell the uploader where we can. If you believe your game was removed by mistake, reply with an explanation and we'll look again. We close the accounts of repeat infringers (three upheld notices). This address is also our contact point for notices under the EU Digital Services Act. The copyright page has the details: what a notice needs, what we do, and counter-notices.

7. The service is provided as it is

Voxel Party is a free hobby project. We work hard to keep it running, but it comes "as is", without warranties of any kind: it may have bugs, be unavailable, or lose data (like game saves or published games). We may change, pause or end any part of it at any time. Community games are made by their creators, not by us, and we don't vouch for them.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Voxel Party or of games on it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

9. Ending

You can stop using Voxel Party at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy page). We may stop providing it to you if you break these terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes go to the courts of Sweden. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer laws and can bring a claim where you live.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so on the site. Using Voxel Party after a change means you accept the new terms.
